Club Sandwich Recipe

Club Sandwich Food Recipe

Legend has it that a man came home late and hungry from his club one night, raided the refrigerator and made himself a super sandwich which he dubbed 'club'.

Another says that the chef of a club made himself a reputation by devising a special sandwich.

Either way, it is now known as the 'king of sandwiches'.


Ingredients for Club Sandwich Recipe
3 Slices Bread
Butter (to spread)
100g Flaked Crab meat
3 Tbsp Mayonnaise
1 Tomato (sliced)
4 Small Crisp Lettuce Leaves
Salt and Pepper
2 Inch Piece Cucumber (sliced)

Getting Started on Club Sandwich Recipe

Toast the bread on either side until golden. Spread each slice with butter.

In a bowl mix the crab meat ,mayonnaise and salt and pepper to taste.

Cover the first slice of toast with 2 lettuce leaves , half the crab meat mayonnaise then the tomato slices.

Cover with the second slice of toast then add the remaining crabmeat and cucumber slices.

Place the third slice of toast on top and press gently.

Cut the sandwich diagonally or into quarters, you can secure each piece with a tooth pic if desired.

Serve your club sandwich recipe with a wedge of lemon and water cress sprigs.

at my work we make them,
bread butter, then mayo then some lettuce and tomato with a pinch of salt on the top then another mayo and buttered bread both sides and then a good slice of chicken, bacon and an egg. every one loves them

we always toast the bread
