Paprika and Red Pepper Hummus Recipe

Hummus recipes
are very versatile as you can use many toppings and other ingredients to flavour the hummus in different ways.

My paprika and red pepper hummus recipe is my original chickpea hummus recipe with a topping of olive oil , sweet red peppers, roughly chopped garlic, paprika, chives and a pinch of toasted cumin seeds.

This hummus recipe is very very delicious and is great with fresh bread.

Ingredients for Jeenas Kitchen Paprika and Red Pepper Hummus Recipe
Jeenas Fresh Homemade Hummus
1 Sweet Pointed Red Pepper (diced)
2 Garlic Cloves (roughly chopped)
1 Tbsp Paprika (I used Hungarian Paprika)
Pinch Cumin Seeds
Large Pinch Dried Chives
Olive Oil

Picture of chopped red peppers and fresh garlic.

How to make Jeenas Kitchen Paprika and Red Pepper Hummus Recipe

Spread the fresh hummus onto a flat plate.

Drizzle a generous amount of olive oil into a small frying pan.

On a medium/high heat fry the sweet red pepper pieces and paprika, cook for a few minutes.

Stir well.

When the peppers start to soften after a few minutes add the dried chives and garlic.

Stir well.

Cook garlic for a few minutes, careful not to over cook the garlic and burn it.

Once garlic is almost cooked add a pinch of cumin seeds.

Cook seeds for a minute or two.

Use a spoon to pour the paprika red peppers on top of the hummus or carefully pour it directly from the pan onto the hummus.

Enjoy Jeenas Kitchen paprika and red pepper hummus recipe.

I made your caramelized onion recipe for lunch yesterday-it was sooo good. I don't think I'll ever want to go back to just regular hummus again, only now I want to try this one too. I have three red bell peppers in the fridge, so I'm going for it.
