Happy New Year ( 2008 food recipes)

Happy New Year to all my readers!

Thank you so much to everybody who has been visiting my food recipe blog in 2008.

I have had a lot of fun cooking my food recipes and posting them onto this blog.

It is great to get such wonderful feedback from my readers and people who love to cook my recipes, thank you everyone.

I have enjoyed cooking curries, other savouries, sweets and desserts.

I have particularly enjoyed cooking my vegan and gluten free recipes. Baking vegan and gluten free can be very satisfying and a lot more healthy for you.

I thought a little reminiscing over my 2008 recipes would be fun so here are last years favourite recipes. I have enjoyed cooking and posting every single recipe on my blog but here are a few favourites that I have picked out:

***************************************************************************************
Curry Pasty Recipe

The pastry on these tasty pasties tastes so very good and with a vegetable curry filling they are just so delicious.

See my Vegetarian Curry Pasty Recipe

***************************************************************************************
Hash Browns Recipe

My hash browns are so tasty that you will never buy them from the shops again. Seasoned perfectly with a crisp outer layer with a soft potato centre, what more would you want from a hash brown?

***************************************************************************************
Baked Salmon Recipe

My baked salmon recipe is very easy to cook and so very healthy to eat. Fresh salmon with a wholewheat crust baked until golden in the oven, delicious.

***************************************************************************************
Coconut Chicken Curry Recipe

This curry recipe is a huge favourite in our house. I just adore the Kerala Indian flavours of the coconut.

***************************************************************************************
Caramelized Onion Hummus Recipe

If you love hummus you will love my caramelized onion hummus recipe. The sweetness of the onions compliment the chickpea hummus in such a fantastic way.

***************************************************************************************
Restaurant Style Chicken Curry Recipe

If you love spicy curries then this is a curry for you. I really enjoyed cooking this curry because it was easy to cook and had maximum flavour once done.

***************************************************************************************
Strawberry Gateau Recipe

This dessert is so good that you will be back for a second serving. The cake slices are moist, that along with clotted cream juicy fresh strawberries....need I say more?

***************************************************************************************
Battenburg Cake Recipe

Battenburg cakes can be one of those recipes that you think will be too difficult to bake. My batteneburg is easy and tastes fabulous. The best thing is to see the finished product and be so proud that you made your very own battenburg cake

See my Battenburg Recipe

***************************************************************************************
Egg Free Bakewell Slice Recipe

We all love a good bakewell tart or almond slice so I was very excited to bake an egg free vegan bakewell slice. It is very very tasty, so much so that you would not believe that it contains no eggs or dairy. Absolutely delicious.

See my Vegan Bakewell Slice Recipe

***************************************************************************************
Apple and Cream Swiss Roll Recipe

The flavours of this vegan Swiss roll are fantastic. I used wholewheat for a healthy Swiss roll sponge cake, vanilla cream and cooked cinnamon apples for the filling.

See my Apple and Cream Vegan Swiss Roll Recipe

***************************************************************************************
Gluten and Egg Free Toffee Cake Recipe

This recipe you will recognise as I only published it recently. My toffee spice cake is so very tasty that it really does have to be on this list of favourites.

See my Gluten Free Toffee Spice Cake Recipe

***************************************************************************************
Lamb Tikka Kebab Recipe

I could not finish the list without one of my tasty kebabs. I picked this one as the lamb is so tender and they are so easy to cook and come out of the oven tasting so very delicious.

*****************************************************************************

More from 2008...

It was great fun to make my very own food recipe videos for you all to view. I now have four food recipe videos;

How to make an egg free bakewell video recipe

How to make onion bhaji video recipe

How to make a vegetable stir fry video recipe

How to make a vegetarian chicken curry video recipe

I always publish a full step-by-step picture guide recipe alongside the video recipes to make it easier for my readers.

See my video recipes index page here

******************************************************
It has been great fun cooking and publishing all my tasty recipes for you to enjoy.

Thanks

Jeena x
