jeena -- we also have those smarties here in canada (big surprise since we're originally a UK colony). in the USA they're called something else that i can't remember at the moment. they had no clue what i was talking about when i was there! btw, thanks for visiting my blog a few months back and leaving me the comment you did. i didn't have a chance previously to leave you one and luckily came across your name in my friend's blog where you left a comment. i actually couldn't figure out where you had commented in mine. anyway, great blog, keep up the good work :)

I have made these three times and although they taste great they always stick and look awful- can't get them off the tray- I have tired grease and flour and greaseproof paper - help

Hi Victoria, if you have tried grease proof paper and grease and flouring the tray it may be that you need to use a different kind of oven tray.

Have you got a few different kinds of oven tray or any flat large pyrex oven dishes? Sometimes pyrex oven dishes can be great to cook cooies on.

When greasing and flouring the tray try taking a blob of butter/margarine and wiping it around the tray/dish with your fingers then dusting with flour.

Sometimes I have bought oven trays in the past and wondered why food has stuck to it, I have tried the same recipe on a different tray and it has worked great.

Also do you take the cookies off the tray straight out of the oven? Or do you leave the cookies to cool down first? I take the cookies straight off the oven tray and onto a cooling rack to cool down. Use a diifferent spatula also, sometimes we can use the wrong type of spatula to take the cookies off the tray with. You could try using a large flat knife to take the cookies of the tray straight out of the oven. Gently ease them off.
